Alpine Apex (ABN: 99757900168) — Lead Tuner: Kai Xaoc

This Agreement sets out the terms on which Alpine Apex ("we," "us") and lead tuner Kai Xaoc provide ECU tuning services to the client ("you"). By booking or receiving a tuning service, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement.

 

 Payment
All payments are to be made in cash, in full, upon completion of the tune, regardless of whether you elect to retain the tune or have the vehicle reverted to its factory calibration. Should you subsequently request a reversion to stock or a further modification to the tune, a minimum fee of $250 AUD will apply, payable in cash at the time that work is undertaken.

 

Tuning Methodology
Our tunes are developed using a load-based methodology, whereby fuel and ignition maps are calibrated according to actual engine load — measured via MAP or MAF sensors in conjunction with engine RPM — rather than fixed, speed-based tables. This approach allows the calibration to respond dynamically to real-world driving conditions, and enables conservative safety margins to be applied to knock, boost, and air-fuel ratio targets across the engine's operating range. It is a methodology widely adopted within the performance tuning industry, owing to its ability to account for variables such as temperature, fuel quality, altitude, and engine wear more effectively than static calibration tables.

Notwithstanding the above, no tuning methodology can eliminate risk entirely. ECU tuning constitutes a modification of the vehicle's factory calibration, and outcomes may be affected by factors including, but not limited to, mechanical or electrical faults, fuel quality, existing wear, or aftermarket components fitted by third parties.

Client Responsibility and Liability
The tune is carried out at the direction and express request of the client. By requesting these services, you consent to the modifications performed and accept full responsibility for any outcomes arising from the tune, including but not limited to mechanical failure, engine damage, or other consequences, whether or not such outcomes were foreseeable at the time of tuning.

Alpine Apex and Kai Xaoc make no warranty or guarantee, express or implied, as to the performance, reliability, or outcome of any tuning service, and accept no liability whatsoever for any damage, loss, or issue arising from the tune following its completion.

 

Road Use and Legal Compliance
Vehicles tuned by Alpine Apex are intended for off-road or closed-course use only. It remains the client's sole responsibility to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in their jurisdiction. Alpine Apex and Kai Xaoc accept no responsibility or liability for any fines, penalties, or legal consequences arising from the use of a tuned vehicle on public roads.

General
The client may decline or withdraw from the service at any time prior to the commencement of tuning. Once tuning has commenced, the client is deemed to have accepted these terms in full. This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties in relation to ECU tuning services and supersedes any prior discussions or agreements, whether written or verbal.
