Alpine Apex (ABN: 99757900168) — Lead Tuner: Kai Xaoc

This Agreement sets out the terms on which Alpine Apex ("we," "us") and lead tuner Kai Xaoc provide ECU tuning services to the client ("you"). By booking or receiving a tuning service, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement.

Payment

All payments are to be made in cash, in full, upon completion of the DME unlock service, regardless of whether you elect to retain the unlocked calibration or have the vehicle reverted to its factory DME state. Should you subsequently request a reversion to stock or a further modification to the DME, a minimum fee of $350 AUD will apply, payable in cash at the time that work is undertaken.

Service Methodology

Our DME unlock services are performed using industry‑standard bench‑reading and software‑patching techniques. The unlock procedure modifies the factory calibration to enable OBD‑based reading and writing of the DME, allowing for subsequent tuning and calibration adjustments.

While this methodology is widely adopted within the performance tuning industry and has been proven effective across a range of F/G Series BMW and Toyota applications, no software‑based unlock methodology can eliminate risk entirely. DME unlocking constitutes a modification of the vehicle's factory calibration, and outcomes may be affected by factors including, but not limited to:

​

• Existing mechanical or electrical faults within the vehicle;

• The condition and quality of the DME hardware;

• Previous modifications or repairs carried out by third parties;

• Variations in vehicle software versions and hardware revisions.

Client Responsibility and Liability

The DME unlock service is carried out at the direction and express request of the client. By requesting these services, you consent to the modifications performed and accept full responsibility for any outcomes arising from the DME unlock, including but not limited to:

• Mechanical failure or engine damage;

• Drivability issues or loss of vehicle functionality;

• Voiding of manufacturer warranties;

• Any other consequences, whether or not such outcomes were foreseeable at the time of the service.

Alpine Apex and our lead technician make no warranty or guarantee, express or implied, as to the performance, reliability, or outcome of any DME unlock service, and accept no liability whatsoever for any damage, loss, or issue arising from the DME unlock following its completion.

Road Use and Legal Compliance

Vehicles for which DME unlock services are provided are intended for off‑road or closed‑course use only. It remains the client's sole responsibility to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in their jurisdiction regarding vehicle modifications, emissions, and roadworthiness.

Alpine Apex and our lead technician accept no responsibility or liability for any fines, penalties, or legal consequences arising from the use of an unlocked or modified vehicle on public roads.

 

General

The client may decline or withdraw from the service at any time prior to the commencement of DME unlocking work. Once unlocking work has commenced, the client is deemed to have accepted these terms in full.

 

This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties in relation to F/G Series DME unlock services and supersedes any prior discussions or agreements, whether written or verbal.
